God of Wealth & Fortune Bag Charm | Natural Stone Hand-Knotted Tassel Pendant

A little fortune bag, filled with good wishes.

This piece brings together two old symbols of prosperity — a smiling God of Wealth and a carved fortune bag decorated with the Chinese character for “blessing” and little coin details. I liked the idea of putting them side by side: one welcoming good fortune in, the other keeping it safely tucked away.

I hand-knotted the carvings with warm honey-toned natural stones, a small wooden bead and delicate gold-toned details, then finished everything with a long soft tassel in creamy, earthy shades. The muted colours give it a lovely old-world feeling — more like a tiny keepsake found in a drawer of treasures than a bright, traditional lucky ornament.

Made as a bag charm or hanging pendant, with each natural stone bringing its own markings, tones and little imperfections. Only one finished piece was made.
