Maneki-neko & Lucky Paw Charm | Hand Knotted Natural Stone Tassel Pendant

A tiny paw raised for a little more luck.

This piece began with two carvings that simply belonged together — a little maneki-neko carrying its lucky coin, and a plump cat paw beside it.

The maneki-neko, often known as the lucky or beckoning cat, has long been associated with welcoming good fortune and prosperity. I liked the idea of giving this one an extra paw, almost as though one wasn’t quite enough luck for such a tiny charm.

Around them I added natural stones in soft blush, berry and earthy tones, with a small agarwood bead and warm gold details. The dusty pink tassel continues the same palette, giving the whole piece a slightly nostalgic, almost storybook feeling rather than the bright red-and-gold colours usually associated with lucky charms.

A tiny cat, a lucky paw, and perhaps just enough room for something good to find its way in.
